HATCHING
HATCHING is a short retro-inspired, point-and-click virtual pet experience based on the Finnish horror film HATCHING (2022), directed by Hannah Bergholm. It was developed in collaboration with IFC Midnight, distributors of awesome horror films like The Babadook (2014), The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016), and Relic (2020).
STORY
12-year-old gymnast Tinja is desperate to please her mother, a woman obsessed with presenting the image of a perfect family. One night, Tinja finds a strange egg. What hatches is beyond belief.

I was constantly afraid I was going to have a jumpscare. If anyone else is worried about jumpscares, from what I played, there are none. I love this game so much! I recommend using the FAST mode. It's super slow otherwise.
played the game and saw the movie! highly reccomend, rare to see a monster horror with so much depth!

This was really creative! I wonder how you get the Teddy Bear murder scene to happen? It wouldnt for me for some reason.

Awesome stuff. I love your little LED excursions-- heck, pixel horror is criminally underrated. Game is tight and the movie looks good, too!
